Is Red Wine Better For You Than White Wine?
Most of us will have heard of the term ‘the French paradox’ catch phrasing the observation that the French have relatively low incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) despite having a diet rich in saturated fats. This is thought to be down to regular, moderated wine consumption which gives more people the antioxidants to fight off health issues.
For a long time, these health benefits were associated with red wine but there is little evidence to suggest that this is true within a laboratory setting.
